Situation: Whataburger was looking to break out and do something new. To that end, I wrote this series of spots envisioning the use of the popular “cowboy” musical group Riders In The Sky. The project got far enough along that we were in contact with the group, got costs and began pre-production planning with a film crew. Ultimately, however, the client chose to leave them unproduced.
For coupons, we chose to use direct mail and adopted the look of old “Texas Brag” postcards. The body copy and offer would be on the reverse side.
